Kristin joined Experien Group in 2007 to devise and lead business development activities and to support the firm’s senior executives in strategic business affairs. Her background includes business development and advisory support for small businesses and foundations, as well as academic appointments in research and course instruction (undergraduate and graduate) at top-tier universities. She has conducted, presented and published high-stakes outcome assessments for research centers, foundations, and a U.S. federal court-appointed monitoring team.
At Experien Group, Kristin works with CEO Mike Billig to conduct all of the firm’s business development activities. She interfaces with client company executives to maintain project planning and cohesion, provide budget estimates, and ensure client satisfaction. Kristin creates and delivers business presentations for Experien Group and she develops many of the firm’s industry presentations and client training materials. Her central responsibilities include:
- Potential client outreach and introductions
- Formalizing of client relationships, including non-disclosure agreements, contracts and statements of work
- Orchestration of Experien Group events and marketing opportunities
- Development of collateral materials, website, and presentations
- Representation of Experien Group at industry events
- Due diligence for the firm’s growth opportunities and strategic partnerships
PAST COMPANIES AND EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Experien Group Kristin spent over 10 years conducting state and national research projects for Stanford University, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Utah. She additionally spent three years supporting small businesses with project support, including relocation and facilities expansion, client recruitment, account management, and strategic planning. She is a published scholar in highly regarded academic journals and a named contributor to large reports of public record for educational policy. Kristin has performed business development activities and supported fundraising efforts for both public and private entities. She has received numerous academic awards and prestigious fellowships from universities and private foundations, and in 2003 she was awarded one of 25 national Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowships.
EDUCATION
Kristin earned her BS from Duke University in Political Science and her MS from the University of Utah. She additionally attended Harvard Law School and is ABD in her doctoral degree in Educational Policy Studies from University of California, Los Angeles. |
